Q: I have special dietary restrictions. Can I do RESET?

A: Although RESET is safe for most everyone, if you have special restrictions and/or health conditions, it is recommended that you consult your doctor. I am also happy to answer any questions you may have. I will tell you that many people with special considerations, even nursing moms, have used RESET successfully with some modifications.

Q: What is the average weight lost on RESET?

A: The average weight loss is 5 pounds in 5 days with an average of 2 pounds a week in subsequent phases.

Q: Why is the weight loss so dramatic on RESET?

A: RESET balances your blood sugar and one of the side effects of this is weight loss. It is not a fad diet or about starvation.

Q: How does RESET control your cravings?

A: Nutritional science has linked high-glycemic foods to the incidence of obesity, insulin resistance, and type 2 diabetes. RESET is guaranteed to be low glycemic. As the foundation of a nutritious diet, lowglycemic foods release energy slowly and do not cause drastic blood glucose spikes and crashes. Therefore, you don’t feel hungry as quickly, so you don’t feel an overwhelming need to eat, which may help you lose weight. Q: Can you have coffee on RESET?

A: It depends on your personal goals. Some people do RESET to help them detox from caffeine. If that is your goal, then it can be a great way to do that. If you choose to have coffee on RESET, try to keep it to one cup per day. Also it is much better to drink it black, as the creamer and sweeteners can affect your blood sugars!

Q: Can I drink Soda on RESET?

A: It is ideal to drink water on RESET. Please try to avoid soda. It’s either full of sugar or artificial sweeteners.

Q: Can I use artificial sweeteners?

A: I recommend avoiding artificial sweeteners. They are chemicals and they are also so much sweeter than regular sugar so they desensitize your taste for natural sugar found in food.

Q: Why are there carbohydrates in the shakes and bars?

A: These are meal replacements and snacks. Your body needs carbohydrates to function properly. There is a difference when you eat complex carbohydrates that are balanced with fiber, protein and healthy fat versus eating simple processed carbohydrates. Also realize that for a meal and a snack, the carbohydrates are very low. In my personal experience, when I used to eat a very low carb diet, I always craved sugar! Now, when I use the shakes and bars, my body is able to get the carbs it needs without spiking my sugars. My cravings have reduced dramatically and I am in the best physical shape I have ever been in.

Q: Why is sugar in the RESET?

A: Your body needs sugar to function. The sugar in RESET is natural sugar and it is balanced with the right amounts of fiber, protein and healthy fat so that you get the healthy sugar you need for your brain and body to function without spiking your blood sugars. It is the same type and amount of sugar that you would get when you eat an apple.

Q Can I drink alcohol on RESET?

A: You should not have alcohol during RESET. It will affect your blood sugars! You can do anything for five days!

Q: It’s the second day of RESET. Why do I have a headache?

A: Each person will respond differently. It can be common to experience a headache during the first two days. This is a “healthy headache” as your body is detoxing from the sugar spikes. Drink more water. It should clear up on the third day and you will feel amazing by the last day!

Q: Can I exercise on RESET?

A: It is recommended that you do 30 minutes of moderate amount of exercise on RESET. If you do more, you will need to add in more calories in the form of Vegetables or Lean Protein, such as eggs or fish. Please discuss this with your Inspire Health Coach.

Q: What if I get hungry?

A: You will be amazed how good you feel by day 3. If you need more calories, you can add in more vegetables or lean protein. I recommend more green vegetables as they do not spike your blood sugars. I usually recommend this for men too. Remember, the closer you follow the program the better your results.
